Right on the heels of Witt's Daughter's Debut on the big screen at the Arclight cinema in Hollywood, came the announcement (over two weeks early) that the film had been officially selected to screen during the December 26th through January 4th run at the Beverly Hills High Def Film Festival. October 1, 2008 at 5:00pm was the deadline for qualification for this year's Academy Awards. After fighting with reluctant printers, scrambling to rebuild the press kit, and driving through LA traffic to Beverly Hills; Witt's Daughter is stamped "Accepted" at the AMPAS office with just 45 minutes to spare!
